Qué se guarda, por qué, quién más lo toca y cuánto dura. Cada proveedor aparece con su nombre, sin fórmulas genéricas. What is stored, why, who else touches it and how long it lasts. Every provider is named, with no generic wording.

01 Quién responde de esto Who is responsible

02 Aquí hay dos tipos de datos, y la diferencia importa There are two kinds of data here, and the difference matters

Tus datos, como contratistaYour data, as a contractor

• Tu correo y tu contraseña (guardada cifrada, nunca en claro). Your email and your password (stored encrypted, never in the clear).
• Lo de tu negocio: nombre, dirección, teléfono, licencia, logo, moneda, impuesto y los términos que pones en tus estimados. Your business details: name, address, phone, license, logo, currency, tax rate and the terms you put on your estimates.
• Tu plan, y de tu tarjeta solo la marca y los cuatro últimos dígitos — los mismos datos que aparecen en cualquier recibo de compra. Your plan, and of your card only the brand and the last four digits — the same details shown on any purchase receipt.

Sobre el logo, en concreto: tiene que ser público. Sale en el correo y en la página de firma que abre tu cliente, que no tiene cuenta — si no fuera público, ahí saldría roto. Eso quiere decir que quien tenga la dirección exacta del archivo puede verlo sin entrar en ninguna cuenta. No hay listado ni buscador: hay que conocer esa dirección, que lleva dentro un identificador que no se adivina. Aun así, no subas como logo nada que no quieras que se vea así. About your logo, specifically: it has to be public. It appears in the email and on the signing page your client opens without an account — if it were not public, it would show up broken there. That means anyone with the file's exact address can see it without signing in. There is no listing and no search: you need that address, which contains an identifier nobody can guess. Even so, do not upload as your logo anything you would not want seen that way.

03 Qué se guarda de una firma, y por qué tanto What is stored with a signature, and why so much

Cuando un cliente firma un estimado, se guarda: When a client signs an estimate, we store:

• El dibujo de la firma, tal como la trazó en la pantalla. The drawing of the signature, exactly as traced on the screen.
• El nombre que escribió. The name they typed.
• La fecha y la hora exactas, y su dirección de internet (IP). The exact date and time, and their internet address (IP).
• Y el rastro: cuándo se le mandó el estimado, cuándo lo abrió y cuándo firmó. And the trail: when the estimate was sent, when they opened it and when they signed.

Parece mucho, y lo es a propósito: eso es exactamente lo que hace que la firma valga algo si un día hay un desacuerdo. «Firmó» a secas no sostiene nada; «se lo mandé el martes, lo abrió el miércoles y firmó el jueves a las 4:12 desde esta dirección», sí. Sin ese rastro, el producto no serviría para lo que sirve. It looks like a lot, and it is on purpose: that is exactly what makes the signature worth something if there is ever a dispute. “They signed” holds up nothing; “I sent it Tuesday, they opened it Wednesday and signed Thursday at 4:12 from this address” does. Without that trail, the product would not do what it is for.

04 Con qué finalidad se usan What the data is used for

Para darte el servicio y para nada más: enseñarte tus estimados, mandar el correo a tu cliente, dejarle firmar, cobrarte el plan y contestarte si escribes a soporte. To provide the service and nothing else: show you your estimates, send the email to your client, let them sign, charge you for your plan and answer you if you write to support.

No se venden. No se alquilan. No se usan para publicidad. No hacemos perfiles de nadie ni cruzamos tus datos con los de otro negocio. Not sold. Not rented. Not used for advertising. We do not profile anyone and we do not cross your data with another business's.

05 Quién más lo toca Who else touches it

Estas siete empresas, cada una para una cosa concreta. Están todas en Estados Unidos, que es donde se guardan los datos. These seven companies, each for one specific thing. All of them are in the United States, which is where the data is stored.

Nothing else: not who you are, nor what you do inside the app.
Stripe	Los cobros. El número de tu tarjeta lo guardan ellos, no nosotros — aquí nunca llega. Payments. Your card number is stored by them, not by us — it never reaches here.
Resend	Manda los correos: el del estimado, los recordatorios y el de recuperar contraseña. Sends the emails: the estimate, the reminders and the password reset.
OpenAI	Hace funcionar el asistente, y solo cuando tú lo usas. Qué se le manda y qué no, en el apartado 06 — que conviene leer entero. Powers the assistant, and only when you use it. What is sent to it and what is not is in section 06 — worth reading in full.
Microsoft OneDrive	Ahí se guardan las copias de seguridad, para que un disco roto no se lleve por delante el trabajo de nadie. Where the backups are kept, so a broken disk does not take anyone's work with it.

Fuera de esas, solo entregaríamos datos si nos lo ordena un juez o la ley — y si podemos avisarte antes, te avisamos. Beyond those, we would only hand over data if ordered by a court or by law — and if we are allowed to tell you first, we will.

06 El asistente con inteligencia artificial The artificial-intelligence assistant

La app trae un asistente que te ayuda a escribir y ordenar un estimado: redacta la descripción de una partida, propone cómo dividir un trabajo, revisa que no falte nada. No se inventa precios — los saca de tu catálogo y de lo que tú ya has cobrado antes, y lo que no tenga precio te lo pregunta. The app includes an assistant that helps you write and organize an estimate: it drafts a line's description, suggests how to break a job down, checks that nothing is missing. It does not make prices up — it takes them from your catalog and from what you have charged before, and anything without a price it asks you about.

Lo hace funcionar OpenAI, en Estados Unidos. Y funciona solo cuando tú se lo pides: si no usas el asistente, de aquí no sale nada hacia nadie. It is powered by OpenAI, in the United States. And it runs only when you ask it to: if you do not use the assistant, nothing leaves here for anyone.

Qué se le manda: el texto de las partidas del estimado en el que estás trabajando, y los nombres y precios de tu catálogo, para que pueda usar los tuyos. Si le pides que lea una foto del trabajo, también esa foto. What is sent: the text of the line items on the estimate you are working on, and the names and prices in your catalog, so it can use your own. If you ask it to read a job photo, that photo too.

Qué NO se le manda, nunca: el nombre, el teléfono, el correo ni la dirección de tu cliente. Tampoco tus cifras de cobros, ni tus facturas, ni ninguna firma. El asistente trabaja sobre el trabajo, no sobre las personas. What is NEVER sent: your client's name, phone, email or address. Nor your payment figures, your invoices, or any signature. The assistant works on the job, not on the people.

Qué hace OpenAI con ello. Según lo que OpenAI publica sobre los datos de su API: no se usan para entrenar sus modelos —así es desde el 1 de marzo de 2023, salvo que uno acepte expresamente lo contrario, y aquí no se ha aceptado— y se guardan hasta 30 días en sus registros para vigilar usos indebidos, tras los cuales se borran, salvo que la ley les obligue a conservarlos más. What OpenAI does with it. Per OpenAI's published policy for API data: it is not used to train their models — that has been the case since March 1, 2023, unless one expressly opts in, and we have not — and it is kept for up to 30 days in their logs to monitor misuse, after which it is deleted, unless the law requires them to keep it longer.

Sobre las fotos, con más motivo. Una foto de un trabajo puede enseñar la casa de tu cliente. Por eso una foto sale de aquí solo cuando tú pulsas para que el asistente la lea, nunca sola. Y hay algo que no puede hacer ni leyéndola: una foto no trae medidas. No sabe cuántos pies cuadrados hay ni qué aparece al raspar la pintura. Describe lo que ve; las medidas y el precio los pones tú. About photos, all the more so. A job photo can show your client's house. That is why a photo leaves here only when you tap for the assistant to read it, never on its own. And there is something it cannot do even then: a photo carries no measurements. It does not know the square footage or what shows up once the paint is scraped. It describes what it sees; the measurements and the price are yours to set.

Se puede equivocar. Lo que escribe el asistente es un borrador para que tú lo revises, no un documento terminado. El estimado que firma tu cliente es tuyo, y el responsable de lo que dice eres tú. It can be wrong. What the assistant writes is a draft for you to review, not a finished document. The estimate your client signs is yours, and you are the one answerable for what it says.

07 Cookies y seguimiento Cookies and tracking

Esta página —y solo esta— lleva el píxel de Meta, la empresa de Facebook e Instagram. Está desde el 15 de septiembre de 2026, porque los anuncios de WorkEstimado se pagan y hay que saber si traen a alguien. Guarda una cookie en tu navegador y le dice a Meta que se ha visto esta página, junto con tu dirección IP y qué navegador usas. This page — and only this page — carries the Meta pixel, from the company behind Facebook and Instagram. It has been here since September 15, 2026, because WorkEstimado's ads are paid for and we need to know whether they bring anyone. It stores a cookie in your browser and tells Meta that this page was viewed, along with your IP address and which browser you use.

Dentro del servicio no hay nada de esto: ni en la app del contratista, ni en el panel, ni en la página donde tu cliente firma un estimado. Ahí no hay píxel, ni analítica, ni cookies de terceros. Quien firma un estimado tuyo no es rastreado, y tus estimados, tus clientes y tus cifras no salen hacia Meta ni hacia nadie. Inside the service there is none of this: not in the contractor's app, not in the admin panel, and not on the page where your client signs an estimate. No pixel, no analytics, no third-party cookies. Whoever signs an estimate of yours is not tracked, and your estimates, your clients and your figures never travel to Meta or to anyone else.

Si no lo quieres, cualquier bloqueador de anuncios lo detiene, y desde tu propia cuenta de Facebook puedes desconectarlo en «Actividad fuera de Facebook». If you would rather not have it, any ad blocker stops it, and from your own Facebook account you can disconnect it under "Off-Facebook activity".

Sí hay una conexión con Google que conviene que sepas, aunque no sea seguimiento: los tipos de letra de esta página se piden a Google Fonts, y para entregarlos Google ve la dirección IP de tu navegador. No lleva cookie, no te identifica y no sabe qué haces dentro de la app. There is one connection to Google you should know about, even though it is not tracking: this page's typefaces are requested from Google Fonts, and to deliver them Google sees your browser's IP address. It carries no cookie, it does not identify you and it does not know what you do inside the app.

Lo único que el navegador guarda es lo que hace falta para mantener tu sesión abierta mientras usas la app. Si cierras sesión, se va. The only thing the browser stores is what is needed to keep your session open while you use the app. If you sign out, it goes.

08 Cuánto tiempo se guarda How long it is kept

• Mientras tu cuenta esté activa, todo lo tuyo se guarda. Aunque el plan esté pausado por un cobro fallido: pausar no borra nada. While your account is active, everything of yours is kept. Even if the plan is paused for a failed charge: pausing deletes nothing.
• Lo que pasa por el asistente no se guarda aquí como una conversación: de cada uso queda la fecha y cuánto costó, para los topes de tu plan. En los registros de OpenAI se guarda hasta 30 días, como dice el apartado 06. What goes through the assistant is not stored here as a conversation: what remains of each use is the date and what it cost, for your plan's limits. In OpenAI's logs it is kept for up to 30 days, as section 06 explains.
• Si cancelas o cerramos la cuenta, se guarda 30 días más y después se borra. En ese plazo puedes pedir una copia. If you cancel or we close the account, it is kept for 30 more days and then deleted. Within that window you can ask for a copy.
• Los correos de la lista de espera se guardan hasta que abramos y te avisemos. Si nos escribes, lo quitamos antes. Waiting-list emails are kept until we open and let you know. Write to us and we will remove yours sooner.
• Las copias de seguridad se guardan 90 días y las más viejas se borran solas. Por eso un dato que borres puede seguir en una copia hasta ese plazo. Backups are kept for 90 days and older ones are deleted automatically. So something you delete may remain in a backup until then.

09 Lo que puedes pedir What you can ask for

Escribiendo a soporte@workestimado.com: By writing to soporte@workestimado.com:

• Una copia de todo lo que tenemos tuyo. A copy of everything we have of yours.
• Corregir algo que esté mal. Casi todo lo puedes cambiar tú mismo en Configuración. Correct something that is wrong. Almost all of it you can change yourself in Settings.
• Borrar tu cuenta y todo lo suyo. Delete your account and everything in it.

Contestamos en 30 días como mucho, y normalmente el mismo día. We answer within 30 days at most, and usually the same day.

10 Si eres la persona que firmó If you are the person who signed

Si recibiste un estimado y lo firmaste: tus datos los puso el contratista, no nosotros. Nosotros los guardamos por encargo suyo. If you received an estimate and signed it: your data was entered by the contractor, not by us. We store it on their instructions.

Para que se corrijan o se borren, lo más rápido es hablar con el contratista — él lo hace en un minuto. Si no lo consigues, escríbenos a soporte@workestimado.com y le trasladamos la petición o te ayudamos. To have it corrected or deleted, the fastest route is to talk to the contractor — they can do it in a minute. If you cannot reach them, write to us at soporte@workestimado.com and we will pass the request on or help you.

11 Cómo se protege How it is protected

• Todo viaja cifrado (HTTPS), en la web y en la app. Everything travels encrypted (HTTPS), on the web and in the app.
• Las contraseñas se guardan cifradas. Nadie las puede leer, nosotros tampoco. Passwords are stored encrypted. Nobody can read them, us included.
• Cada negocio está aislado de los demás en la propia base de datos. No es que la app no los enseñe: es que la base se niega a devolverlos. Está probado intentándolo desde una cuenta contra otra. Each business is isolated from the others in the database itself. It is not that the app hides them: the database refuses to return them. This is tested by trying it from one account against another.
• Copias de seguridad periódicas, probadas restaurándolas de verdad. Regular backups, tested by actually restoring them.

Ninguna medida es perfecta. Si algún día pasara algo que afecte a tus datos, te lo diríamos — qué pasó, qué datos, y qué hacer. No measure is perfect. If something ever happened that affected your data, we would tell you — what happened, which data, and what to do.

12 Menores Minors

Esto es una herramienta de trabajo para negocios. No es para menores de 18 años y no recogemos sus datos a sabiendas. This is a work tool for businesses. It is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their data.

13 Si esto cambia If this changes

La fecha de arriba cambia, y si el cambio es importante —un proveedor nuevo, otro plazo de borrado— te avisamos por correo antes. The date at the top changes, and if the change is significant — a new provider, a different deletion window — we will email you beforehand.
